Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is the front runner for President, as the formal and informal discussions are ongoing within the members of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) on the election. The Hindu reported.
The Finance Minister of India makes sure all the money paid in taxes by Indians is used for the development of the country. He decides how much money goes to the development of roads or hospitals or schools.
The elections will be held in July. Earlier there were some reports of Mr. Mukherjee not in the race, but now it is clear that Mr. Mukherjee is one of the preferences of the party. Vice-President Hamid Ansari has been projected as the other choice.
Let us wait and watch.
