On Day 3 at the Olympics China’s gold rush still continues. US proved its excellence in the sport of swimming by winning 12 medals in swimming so far. That is maximum medals by any country in one single sport in London 2012. Whoa!

Star of the day – Fifteen-year-old Ruta Meilutyte wins Lithuania’s first ever Olympic gold in the swimming pool in Women’s 100m breaststroke.

Shock of the day – The father of a female Saudi Arabian judo competitor says his daughter will pull out of the Olympics if she is not allowed to wear ‘hijab’ during the play.
