Three indian contenders have moved forward into quarter-finals or semi-finals.

India’s star boxer Vijender Singh moved into the quarterfinals of the men’s middle weight (75 kg) category of the Olympic Games by winning against his American opponent in London on Thursday.

Saina Nehwal cruises into the semifinals with a 21-15, 22-20 victory over Tine Baun of Denmark at the Wembley Arena in London on Thursday.

Paes-Sania enter quarterfinals of the mixed doubles event by defeating Serbian pair of Nenad Zimonjic and Ana Ivanovic.

However,Parupalli Kashyap played hard but went down fighting against world number two Lee Chong Wei in the quarterfinal of the badminton men’s singles event.
