A beaver weighs about 60 lbs and is 2-3 feet. Some of their adaptions are that they are great swimmers and they can hold their breath for 15 minutes. Beavers can even shut their nose and ears. Transparent inner eyelids cover each eye so they can see underwater with their eyes closed.

Beavers are herbivores so they only eat plant.  In the winter, their den provides them yummy food instead of having to look for food. Their favorite food is fresh green bark and wood. A beaver’s front teeth continuously counter wear from chewing their favorite food. Beaver’s teeth are great for eating and getting food.
