In an exciting final at Flushing Meadows between Andy Murray of and Novak Djokovich, Andy Murray won by 7-6, 7-5, 2-6, 3-6, 6-2. The Olympic champion once again made history by becoming the first Britisher to win a Grand Slam title since Fred Perry in 1936. That’s 76 years ago!!

Andy Murray gets not only the trophy but also $2.9 million reward for winning the tournament. Talk about all the hard work paying off ;)
