Assam in danger of floods again

One of world’s most powerful river – Brahmaputra and its tributaries in Assam are overflowing yet again due to non stop heavy rains.

In the first wave of floods that had hit the state in july, World’s largest river island ‘Majuli,’  almost got submerged in water. World famous Kaziranga National Park had been badly effected and hundreds of animals living there had gone missing.

Villagers moving to safer places

This time about 82 villages are in danger of getting flooded again. Villagers are moving to safer places in case the situation gets worse. No one is reported hurt till now.
