Crash Landing on Moon

Crash Landing On The Moon

Do you know how two NASA spacecraft ended their lunar missions? By crashing into the moon.

The satellites named Ebb and Flow had been orbiting the Moon since a year and had collected valuable information for the scientists.

Maria Zuber from the project found it very difficult to say bye. The last signal from the satellites was received at around 10.30pm last night.

Before the final bye,  Ebb and Flow fired their main engines until the fuel tank was empty. This last experiment was done for the scientists so that they can estimate the fuel for future probes.
