David Beckham Announces Retirement

Even when David was a little boy, on being asked by teachers what he would like to become when he grows up, David’s reply was always the same. He wanted to be a footballer. And he indeed became one. Not just any footballer but probably world’s most famous footballer!

Yesterday, David Beckham announced his retirement from the world of soccer after playing the game for almost 20 years.

In 1992, 17 year old Beckham began his career with Manchester United, his favourite club since childhood. Later, he went on to play with big clubs like Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and PSG, lifting 19 trophies including 10 league titles.
