First ever 3D Planetarium soon in India

A Planetarium is a place where you visit to look and learn all about celestial objects like stars, planets, comets, galaxies and many more. Many planetariums have a dome-shaped projection screen onto which stars, planets and other celestial objects can be made to appear and move.

In 3D, these projections on screen will feel real. They will give you a feel that you are in space watching these planets up and close moving around you.

India is all set to have its first ever 3D planetarium in Mangalore, Karnataka. The 3D planetarium will be on the lines of planetariums in Hong Kong and Macau. The work on the project will begin soon and the planetarium will be named after Swami Vivekananda to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary.
