First Women President Takes Oath in South Korea

Park Geun-hye was sworn in on Monday as South Korea’s first female president.

In her first ever speech after becoming the president, Ms. Park warned North Korea against its nuclear programme. She said in stern words that she will not tolerate any action that endanger the lives of the people of Soth Korea. For her the security of South Korea is most important.  Furthermore, she urged that the North Korea should put their energies in peace and harmony of the world rather than nuclear tests.

Ms. President also said that her main focus will also be on improving country’s economy.

The inaugration ceremony of the president saw Korean rapper PSY perform his global hit “Gangnam Style.” ;)
