Floods in Peru

Flash Floods in Peru and Spain

Flash floods occur when due to incessant rain, river water level rises fast and eventually reaches the ground. Just a few days back flash floods wrecked havoc in United Kingdom. Now it was turn of South America and Spain.

Torrential rains in Peru, South America, have caused river Amazon to overflow. This has flooded the central Amazon region of Peru. Buildings and crops have been destroyed, and people have been forced to leave their homes.

In provinces like Almeria and Malaga in Southern Spain, torrential rains have caused much damage to property and life.

Though unrelated to each other, these sudden rains in both places have caused much devastation.
