Hugo Chavez re-elected Venezuela’s President

Hugo Chavez was re-elected the president once again by the people of Venezuela. He has held that position since 1999 and now with his third re-election gets another six years to be in the office.

Venezuela is a major oil producer. Owing  to high oil prices in international market, his government is able to invest in health care, education and social housing, therefore improving it. That is the main reason why people are happy with him.

Mr. Chavez defeated his opponent Henrique Capriles. The capital city of Caracas burst into celebrations on hearing the news.
