Serena won her fifth Wimbledon crown and 14th Grand Slam title.She defeated Radwanska 6-1, 5-7, 6-2. It was Serena’s first Slam victory in two years, after major illness and serious injury threatened to derail her career.

“A couple of years ago, when I was in hospital I never thought this was possible. I never dreamt I would get here again,” Serena said, “I want to thank everybody. Mom, dad, my sisters who were with me in hospital. Because of everything I went through, this title is sweeter.” Times of India reported.
