Lionel Messi scored a goal for the 86th time in year 2012 on Sunday. So what, you might ask? Here is what it is. He broke German great Gerd Mueller’s 40-year-old record for scoring most goals in a year. Mueller had scored a total of  85 goals in the year 1972.
