Teenage boxing sensation, 18-year-old Shiva Thapa’s Olympic debut ended in disappointment as he was defeated in the opening round bout in the London Games.

In Badminton, Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa played well but lost  in a women’s doubles league match. On the other hand, Parupalli Kashyap  came up with a super performance in men’s singles to clear the first round with ease.

In other disappointment, Men’s archery team and Vijay Kumar in 10m Air Pistol shooting got knocked out of Olympics.
