The North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un  made a very rare television appearance on new year’s eve. In his speech, Kim Jong-un suggested that North Korea will work hard to end the confrontation with South Korea. He also said that there was an immediate need to improve the country’s economy.

North Korea launched a long-range missile last month. North Korea and South Korea have not been on good terms since a long time, and this missile launch has soured their relations even more.

Did you know?

In North Korea, the government controls everything. It controls what people think and watch and how they behave and talk. Television, radio, newspapers are all extremely restricted.

Can you believe it that most North Koreans probably do not even know what a computer is?
