Nelson Mandela was discharged from the hospital yesterday where he was admitted since 27 March. He was being treated for a recurring bout of pneumonia.
The former South African president will receive round the clock care at his home in the Houghton district of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Nelson Mandela lead the anti-apartheid movement in his country in 1948. He went on to become country’s first black president the 1994. He was also awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 for his struggle against apartheid.
