We had reported earlier the two candidates running for the President of India are Mr. Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Ansari. A new name has been proposed by some other political parties and that is of Mr. P.A. Sangma.

Odisha Chief Minister and Naveen Patnaik on Thursday gave his party’s backing to the 65-year-old tribal leader from Meghalaya.

Mr. Sangma has held the post of Lok Sabha speaker.
