Russia’s Maria Sharapova defeated Italy’s Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2 in the French Open final on Saturday.
For all of 90 minutes, it was mostly a one-sided contest, in which Sharapova ( now world No.1 ) led from the start. She stunned Errani with her biggest shots, leaving her little chance to show her own talent.
Sharapova became the 10th woman in tennis history to win all four Grand Slam titles on Saturday. The French Open title follows her Grand Slam triumphs at Wimbledon in 2004, the US Open in 2006 and the Australian Open in 2008.

Sharapova returned back from a serious shoulder injury that almost ended her career to win French Open 2012. Hats off!!
