Earthquake in China

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck in the southwest China on Sunday. Its exact location is  51 kilometers (32 miles) from Dali city. Although, it was not a very strong earthquake it damaged a lot of houses.

There were 34 jolts after the actual earthquake. It damaged 2,500 houses and caused 700 others to collapse according to the official Xinhua News Agency.

The authorities have set up 6000 tents for the 55,000 people that are affected by this earthquake.
