Formula one car racing event for 2012 started with its first race taking place at Bahrain. World champion Sebastian Vettel won the race.

For those of you who don’t know,
Formula One is a type of car racing event where teams compete in a counted number of races. These races are called Grand Prix.
The winning driver(for driving skills)and team(for constructing the car)each get twenty-five points towards the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship.Whoever gets most points at the end of all races wins.
These races are held in different countries around the world on especially made tracks since the cars go very fast, reaching speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour.
Because of such high speeds the risk of accidents are high. Thus Drivers wear 4 layers of fireproof overalls. A drivers  helmets is so strong that they can be driven over by trucks with no damage being done to them.
