Growing concern over arctic meltdown

Growing Concern over Arctic Meltdown

Arctic is the name of the region that is around the north pole. The weather in arctic is mostly very cold winters and short cool summers. In recent times, due to global warming, arctic glaciers and ice caps have been fast melting.

But what is shocking now is that arctic ice is melting at its fastest pace ever. Satellites being operated by the European Space Agency suggest that the amount of ice  melted over the last year is 50 percent more than what scientists had expected.

It would make such a sad picture if our icy arctic is stripped of all the ice. What will happen to Igloo’s? Polar bears? and tundra plants?  Hope scientists will come up with some innovation soon to put an end to the meltdown.
