A lot of  people in Syria are not happy with the president. They hold protests to show their dissatisfaction. These people are called activists.

These activists were using the internet  and telephone to inform  people outside Syria about the incidents that are happening in their country.

Now there is no internet or phone connection in many parts of Syria.

The activists are blaming the government, and the government is blaming the “terrorists” for the disconnection.

It is still unclear why this has happened?
