On Day 5 at the Olympics, Rowing and Table Tennis were also played. It was a great day for Venezuala, Spain, Greece and Singapore as they won their first Olympic medal.

Star of the day – Ruben Limardo won the men’s individual epee to earn Venezuela only their second Olympic gold medal ever.

Shock of the day – Archer Amy Oliver claimed her biggest ever career win against world number one Indian archer Deepika Kumari but bowed out in the last 32 of the women’s individual archery.
