Typhoon Bopha hits Philippines

Philippines is an archipelago country in the Pacific Ocean with around 7,000 islands.

Intense Typhoon Bopha struck the large southern island of Mindanao. Typhoon is a storm with strong circular winds and heavy rains. Typhoons start from the sea. Some stay in the sea, others are strong enough to move to the land.

Typhoon Bopha hit the land and caused lots of damage. It uprooted Trees destroyed  homes and set off a landslide.
