US Open Federer out, Roddick Retires

Andy Roddick played last match of his career and lost it to Juan Del Porto at the Flushing Meadows on Wednesday.

30 year old Andy looked very emotional and said “I don’t know what the emotions are. I’m a little overwhelmed right now.” He won his only Grand Slam – US Open – nine years ago. Other than that the star player has won 32 other titles and stayed at number one for 13 weeks during his career.

In another shocker, five time US Open winner Roger Federer bowed out of US Open 2012. He lost to Tomas Berdych 7-6 (1), 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

It is first time in 9 years that Federer hasn’t made it to the semi-finals at US Open.
