Circus is a group of performers that entertain the spectators with their binding performances. Though circus is not so popular now as we have gadgets like TV, computer and ipad to entertain us. But in olden times when these were not invented circus was a nice reason for people to get together and enjoy.
Some circus acts are very thrilling and will give a spectator ‘ heart in mouth’ kind of a feeling. Acrobats, trapeze artists and tightrope walkers are some examples. These acts needs immense skill and precision.
Some acts are hilarious. Clowns and Jugglers often put funny make up and make everybody laugh with their tricks. Here is an insight into their world.
Sometimes animals are also part of a circus. The ringmaster trains them to perform tricks in front of the audience. But most often these animals are kept in cages, ill treated, starved and forced into learning the tricks. This is sad because animals belong to jungle and not in cages and circle rings.
A circus travels from one city to another or sometimes maybe from one country to the other. In Ancient Rome and Greek , the circus was not a travelling troop but a building where horses and other animals were displayed and also the most magnificient chariot races were held.
