Kenya Gets a New President

Uhuru Kenyatta is has been sworn in as Kenya’s new president. The 51-year-old will be Kenya’s youngest president. He replaces Kenya’s ex president Mwai Kibaki.

Mr Kenyatta is the son of Kenya’s founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, and is heir to one of the largest fortunes in Kenya.

He has previously served in Kenyan government from time to time as deputy prime minister, minister for trade, and finance minister under outgoing President Mwai Kibaki.
