Google had been working on the autonomous cars project for some time. It had been testing these cars in Nevada. Yesterday California joined in to allow testing of such cars.

Google’s co-founder Sergey Brin hopes that self-driving cars will be able to drive on public streets in five years or less.

Another 30 years and no one will need a driver’s license.

How can this invention help us?

You can work on other things rather than driving. There will be lesser car accidents as the computers are never tired or distracted. Anyone with disabilities will get a chance to drive.

The future looks very similar to the sci-fi movies that we watched.
