We will get to see five eclipses in year 2013 out of which three will be lunar eclipses and two of them will be solar eclipses.

An eclipse is an astronomical event where one object in the sky moves into the shadow of another such object. During Lunar eclipse, the moon passes through the shadow of the Earth. During Solar eclipse, the sun passes through the shadow of the moon.
