Singrauli, a town in India, is famous for its coal production and power plants of India. All this fame has a cost. Forests have been cut down to create space for the industrialization. The city lost its forests and wildlife.
It was also famous for its wild life once.
Tigers and elephants were commonly sighted by the locals, but not anymore. The city, however, boasts now of a concrete zoo, where stone animals are being kept in cages. None of the animals can run and escape anyway, then why keep them locked up.
It is time to protect our forests and wildlife if we don’t want every zoo on Earth turning up to be like that.
Can you think of ways to protect out environment?
