Little known boy from Karnataka, Girisha Hosanagara Nagarajegowda, won first silver for India at London Paralympic games 2012. He won it in the men’s high jump F42 event.

Girisha who has an impairment in his left leg jumped a height of 1.74m, same as the gold medalist Iliesa Delana of Fiji, he had to settle for silver as he took more jumps to achieve that height.
