NASA intended to capture an asteroid and study it. For that, it wanted to launch an unmanned spacecraft in 2018 to bring the asteroid closer to earth and then send scientists up in the space to examine it.
However, this plan has run into some trouble. Some politicians think that it is a waste of time and money. They want the NASA to go back to the exploration of the moon.
After having celebrated its 55th anniversary 2 days ago, this comes as disappointing news for NASA. NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Act), was launched into existence on July 29, 1958, by President Dwight Eisenhower.
