What Is Mars Made Up Of?

Nasa’s Curiosity rover tasted Mar’s soil and tested it using it’s CheMin instrument.

Scientists say the Martian soil at the rover Curiosity’s landing site contains minerals similar to what’s found on Hawaii’s Mauna Kea volcano.

Could it be that Mars was once like Hawaii?
