Man without limbs swims across continents

Man without limbs swims across continents

Can you believe it? It is difficult to believe or even imagine that a person who has lost both his arms and legs can even move. But frenchman Philippe Croizon has made the impossible possible.

Mr. Croizon, who lost both his legs in an electric accident in 1994 when he was 26, used paddle-like prosthetics to swim extremely cold waters of Bering Strait, which links Asia and America. He started from Alaska’s Little Diomede Island and swam till Russian waters near Big Diomede Island.

Earlier Croizon has also swum across the Red Sea (linking Asia and Africa), the Straits of Gibraltar (linking Africa and Europe), and the English Channel.
