Let us see all these important vitamins that our body needs and why.
Vitamin A – ‘Apple of our eyes’ is vitamin A because it takes care of our eyes night and day. Vitamin A is found in carrots, mangoes, spinach, cantaloupe, dried apricots, milk and egg yolks.
Vitamin B – ‘Big Bunch’ is vitamin B because it is a group of 8 Vitamins that help our body make energy. In case you want to know, the 8 vitamins are called B1,B2,B3 and so on. Vitamin B is found in eggs, fish, red meat, poultry, milk, cheese.
Vitamin C – ‘Cure for Cold’ is Vitamin C as it helps the body build its immunity. You’ll find high levels of vitamin C in red berries, kiwi, red and green bell peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, and juices made from guava, grapefruit, and orange.
Vitamin D – ‘Dogs love bones, so does vitamin D,’ it helps absorb the calcium and build our body. This vitamin is special because your body manufactures it when you get sunlight on your skin! You can also get vitamin D from egg yolks, fish oils.
Vitamin E – ‘Essential for Existence’ is vitamin E, it keeps all red blood cells damage free. Vitamin E is found in foods like vegetable oils, nuts, and green leafy vegetables.
Different foods are rich in different vitamins. That is the reason why our parents ask us to eat a mix of vegetables, fruits, millk, bread, egg and many more things everyday as a varied diet gives us our daily dose of all vitamins!!
