Scientists have discovered a new species of bone-headed dinosaur that existed about 85 million years ago in North America. These dinosaurs, known scientifically as Acrotholus, are believed to have possessed a thick-boned dome on the top of their skulls which might have been used to head-butt other dinosaurs.

All bone headed dinosaurs are known as pachycephalosaurs by scientists.

The newly discovered dinosaurs were the size of a large dog and were herbivores. Dinosaurs and plant eaters? Strange huh!

Scientists believe that even smaller dinosaurs than Acrotholus existed, only that they haven’t been discovered yet.
