Do you know who H.C Andersen was?

He was the author of the famous fairy tales like The Ugly Duckling, Emperor’s New Clothes, Thumblina and the Little Mermaid.

Recently, a fairy tale titled ‘Tallow Candle’, hand written by Andersen, has been found at the bottom of a box in the National Archives,near the Danish writer’s home city. It was probably written by Anderson in the 1820s. Almost 200 years ago!!

The tale ‘Tallow Candle’ is about a candle that becomes dirty and is neglected until its inner beauty is recognised following which it is ignited. Hope we get to read it soon.
