Most of the time we need something, we either go get it from outside or a delivery person comes home to deliver the stuff. But have you ever wondered what do astronauts do when they are out of food or equipment supplies? Or what if they have to send some test samples back to Earth. Surely they can’t start their cars and drive on. So what do they do? They also get it delivered!!
Yes! They get the supplies delivered through space capsules!! For this, they rely on SpaceX – a Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, which is an American space transport company headquartered in Hawthorne, California.
Just a few days ago, a SpaceX capsule full of supplies for the International Space Station, has been launched by NASA for the third time.
Last year, in October, a SpaceX craft landed in the Pacific Ocean after completing a a three-week mission re-supplying the International Space Station.
SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, even plans to send people on Mars soon !! Read here.
Interesting stuff, huh!
