“I always prefer to believe the best of everybody; it saves so much trouble”, were the famous words of a renowned English author who was born in India. Rudyard Kipling. He stayed in India until he was five.
Rudyard Kipling wrote a lot of stories and poems. A lot of his stories like “Just so stories”, “The Elephant’s child” were for children, the most famous one being “The Jungle Book“.
Don’t you wish there were just a little more of those wonderful books or poems?
Well there is more. You see that some of his poems were lost , but they are now found by an English scholar Thomas Pinney.
Thomas said that they have been recovering some old manuscripts for some time. The latest collection was found in an old Manhattan home.
On 7th March, the poems will be published alongside 1,300 others in the first ever complete edition of Kipling’s verse.
A thrilling case of lost and found, isn’t it?
