Who was Charlie Chaplin?

Entertainer Charlie Chaplin was probably the most well-known actor of the early 20th century. Although his childhood was very difficult and sad, he made the best comedian of his times. His silence was funnier than the words. His costume that consisted  of baggy pants, bamboo cane, bowler hat, and over-sized shoes became world famous. This sweet little man was adored by everyone. Even the dictator, Adolf  Hitler copied his moustache style so that people would like him as well as Chaplin.

Charlie Chaplin was born in London in 1889. He traveled to the United States when he was a teenager, and there he met a director who started his career in comedy.  Chaplin was not only an actor he was also a director and a composer. He was the first actor to appear on Time magazine on July 6, 1925.

Four years after his death, Ukrainian astronomer, a big fan of Chaplin, Lyudmila Karachkina  named an asteroid after him. Ms. Karachkina named the asteroid  3623 Chaplin.
